Job Title: Healthcare Trainer and Development Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Healthcare Trainer and Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining training programs that promote high-quality patient care and a safe operating environment for staff.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Designing and delivering annual competency training programs to ensure staff have the necessary skills to provide excellent patient care.
  • Creating new staff induction programs and final assessments to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Leading the development and update of a training schedule up to 12 months in advance to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Identifying staff training needs and areas of risk through regular clinical reviews and assessments.
  • Developing tailored training programs for staff needing to address specific skills and training gaps to improve their performance and confidence.
  • Overseeing the development of content for the online training platform to ensure it is engaging, effective, and meets the needs of staff.
  • Participating in clinical reviews to identify training gaps and improvements to enhance patient care and staff development.
  • Ensuring accurate recording and reporting of staff attendance and assessment to inform future training initiatives.
  • Preparing documents, presentations, and reports as required for leadership meetings to communicate key findings and recommendations.

  • Highly experienced in the patient care industry with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing healthcare providers.
  • Able to lead a learning environment via formal and informal training to inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as education, healthcare, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in training and development, including designing and delivering training programs and assessing staff competence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
