  • Provide emotional support and create a nurturing environment through companionship
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing household duties
  • Aid clients in attending appointments, social activities, and events in the community
  • Support personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with transfers and movement using appropriate techniques and equipment for mobility support
  • Administer medications and monitor health conditions for health monitoring
  • Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring dietary needs are met
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Disability Support Worker with complex mental health experience
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • A current driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
