Job Description

Scape is a leading provider of student accommodation in Australia, aiming to create a unique experience for students.

The Wellness & Hygiene team member is responsible for ensuring the optimal experience for current and future students by maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of Scape assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily and periodical cleaning of public areas, including common rooms, lounges, theatre, outdoor terraces, gym, and laundry, corridors, and stairwells.
  • Maintaining awareness of health and safety obligations.
  • Weekly room cleaning and bed making for residents as required.
  • Participating in building open days and tours.

Key ResponsibilitiesDaily and Periodical Cleaning

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of public areas, including common rooms, lounges, theatre, outdoor terraces, gym, and laundry, corridors, and stairwells.

This will involve daily and periodical cleaning tasks, including:

  • Daily cleaning of public areas.
  • Periodical cleaning of public areas.
Health and Safety

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining awareness of health and safety obligations, including:

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
Room Cleaning and Bed Making

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and bed making for residents as required, including:

  • Weekly room cleaning.
  • Bed making for residents.
Participation in Building Open Days and Tours

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in building open days and tours, including:

  • Providing information about Scape's services and facilities.
  • Answering questions from potential residents.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with the following skills and experience:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Can work in a team or individual setting.
  • Ability to work with and relate to young adults while maintaining professional and cultural sensitivity and boundaries.
  • 1-2 years' experience as a public area cleaner in a large commercial environment or room attendant in a 4-5 star hotel environment.
