Marketplace Consultant Job Description

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Marketplace Consultant to join our Strategic Account Services (SAS) program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with a group of Selling Partners to help them grow their business on Amazon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around the SAS program and service offerings.
  • Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective Selling Partners based on a clear understanding of our Selling Partners and their needs.
  • Manage a portfolio of Selling Partners to drive individual strategies, manage timelines, expectations, and owning communications, leveraging a strong understanding of Amazon programs, tools, and processes.
  • Produce profound business recommendations and actionable insights by using a wide set of analytical tools to interpret customer data and make recommendations in order to maximize the potential of the assigned Selling Partners.
  • Implement and track metrics to measure success of the sellers in your portfolio.
  • Prepare and present performance deep dives to facilitate regular discussions around business progress, current challenges, and strategic plans with your Selling Partners.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive environment, including knowledge of complementary and/or competing product offerings.
  • Lead additional projects such as conducting competitive analysis, developing content, inventing processes, and tools to the benefit of our internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing
  • Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
  • Experience in selling nascent products/services into new markets
