Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

We are looking for an individual to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our fleet in line with industry standards.

About the Role

The Vehicle Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for washing and cleaning all vehicles as instructed, operating and maintaining the wash bay, performing safety inspections on designated equipment, and raising any safety concerns or damage to relevant staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the fleet by washing and cleaning all vehicles.
  • Operating and maintaining the wash bay in line with manufacturers' instructions.
  • Performing regular safety inspections on designated equipment in use and reporting any safety concerns or damage to relevant staff.
  • Inspecting vehicles regularly and reporting any concerns on vehicle damage and suspected un-roadworthiness.
  • Maintaining accurate records on depot items that fall under the control of GSE Fleet and in line with authority, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Supporting the workshop in coordinating fleet movement and maintaining cleanliness and presentation.
  • Providing advice to managers on all aspects of fleet condition.
  • Contributing to systems, procedural, and service improvements.
  • Assisting fellow employees and managers as requested.

Requirements

Applicants should have a minimum of:

  • Mechanical aptitude and/or workshop experience (no certifications required).
  • A valid Driver's Licence.
  • A Forklift licence.
  • The ability to operate machinery and a willingness to learn new equipment.
