Protect Lives and Secure the Future

The Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) plays a critical role in maintaining the safety of Defence aviation operations.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our high-impact team, supporting DASA in their mission to protect lives and secure the future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading analysis and modelling of aviation risk and safety data to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Working closely with Defence stakeholders to interpret requirements and shape solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Providing guidance on data governance and integration across ICT platforms to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Creating reports, dashboards and database structures that support operational insight and informed decision-making.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work independently and adapt to changing priorities while navigating a range of stakeholder needs and technical considerations.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with data modelling, analysis and structured reporting; a confident communicator who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders; and familiar with secure or Defence environments, or willing to learn.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in data analytics and BI, preferably in a Defence or similar environment.
  • Proven expertise in data governance, modelling and communication within a safety-critical, highly scrutinised environment.
  • Strong understanding of data presentation and structure, with the ability to advise on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in tools like PowerBI, SQL Server or similar, with experience in creating reports and dashboards.
