About the Role

As a key member of our team at St Vincent's Care Services, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents. We are seeking an experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our dedicated team, helping to create a welcoming and professional care experience.

Job Overview

This permanent part-time role involves working various shifts Monday to Sunday. You will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging leisure programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality leisure programs that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation
  • Work closely with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to understand individual needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and optimal resident outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive team environment

Requirements
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or diversional therapy is essential
  • Experience in an aged care facility, developing leisure programs, including working with dementia clients
  • Ability to work on a permanent part-time basis, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
