Procurement Specialist

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced EL1 Level Procurement Specialist to drive procurement activities that align with ICT investment strategies and ensure compliance with government frameworks.
This is a hybrid role, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant ICT and vendor management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage procurement activities, ensuring alignment with digital strategies.
- Prepare and review procurement documentation, including business cases and approval briefs.
- Ensure procurement methods are compliant with policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance management.
- Advise on sourcing models and vendor selection processes.
- Provide procurement updates and reports for leadership.

About You:
- We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a solid background in procurement and vendor management in the ICT sector.
- 4-6 year's experience in a similar procurement role.
- Deep understanding of the Commonwealth Investment Framework and ICT Investment Oversight Framework (IOF).
- Proven success in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive team culture and developing staff.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with the Commonwealth resource management framework and ICT Investment Approval Process (IAPP).
- Enthusiasm for accessibility and experience with accessible design and development.
Australian citizenship and a Baseline security clearance (or willingness to obtain one) are mandatory for this role.
