About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation Group Owner to join our Product and Technology team at Telstra. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the current testing landscape, identifying improvement opportunities, and establishing a vision for test automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy to drive exceptional customer and employee experiences.
  • Lead a team of engineers and effectively communicate with stakeholders across the organization to drive project goals.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical and operational challenges, with a systematic and analytical approach.
  • Collaborate with chapter leads to agree resource management and allocation to ensure optimal staffing within given budget.
  • Act as technical engagement lead across discovery, design, and delivery for cross-functional Group Owners for your function for the designated portfolio.

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing robust software solutions, with a strong focus on system architecture and engineering principles.
  • Proven track record in implementing comprehensive testing strategies, utilizing industry-standard methodologies and testing frameworks to ensure software quality.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and achieving project goals.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and facilitate effective team communication.
