About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Ability Plus Disability Services in Mernda, Victoria. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and within the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and manual handling assistance to clients, including showering, dressing, bowel care, and toileting
  • Assist with physical therapy and hydro support, as required
  • Perform domestic services and meal assistance
  • Accompany clients on community access outings
Requirements
  • Current National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Check)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Working with Children's Check (Employer)
  • Related qualifications, such as a Certificate in Disability, Aged Care, or Home and Community Care
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Sound communication skills, both verbal and written
