Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced finance and operations leader to spearhead financial stewardship and operational excellence in empowering rural and regional communities across Australia.

The Role

As the finance and operations leader, you will be responsible for providing robust leadership across our corporate services function, including Finance, People and Culture, IT, Risk and Compliance, and Company Secretary support to the Board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality and timely support and reporting to the Board, Finance & Audit Committee, CEO, Leadership Team, and team
  • Oversee financial forecasting, management, and reporting for the organisation
  • Ensure compliance across financial, legal, governance, and legislative/regulatory requirements
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to our ability to achieve strategic goals and objectives
  • Nurture a positive and supportive work culture, oversee workforce planning, develop recruitment and retention programs, conduct performance reviews, and coach others to ensure exemplary employee engagement and satisfaction

Requirements

  • Strong financial literacy and knowledge of finance and accounting, preferably in a NFP setting
  • Proficiency in analytical and management accounting with the ability to present business insights clearly
  • Membership of CA, CPA, or IPA desirable
  • At least 7 years' experience in a CFO and Corporate Services Manager role, experience with NFP funding and/or divisional accounting in a complex program budgeting environment
