Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our continuous improvement and sustainability projects. The successful candidate will be based in Melbourne, working on an 18-month fixed-term contract to drive compliant, innovative, and effective waste management solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety obligations, meeting contract requirements and agreed outcomes.
  • Develop, execute, and review project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for waste management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align projects with organizational priorities.
  • Research and recommend innovative technologies to improve operational outcomes and waste management practices.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, delivering actionable insights and progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Create and implement tools, resources, and change programs to support contract objectives, documenting and communicating results for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with reporting activities, including data analysis and data collection, where required.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of waste services.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in project management, environmental science, sustainability, business, or continuous improvement, with a strong understanding of and demonstrable experience in proactively leading a positive work culture.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, create new and innovative ideas to improve operational, sustainability, or cultural outcomes.
  • Strong time management and ability to work in a structured manner.
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of MS Office packages and computer literacy.
