The Opportunity
Our
Environmental & Technical Solutions (ETS) segment
is seeking an experienced
Operational Training Manager
to join the team. In this newly created role, you will be at the forefront of capability development across Cleanaway's frontline operations. Supported by the wider HSE Operations lead and working in close partnership with our National Training & Capability function, you'll take ownership of delivering business-aligned training strategies that uplift safety, compliance, and performance standards at scale across Health Services, Industrial Services and Oils & Technical services business units.

This is a hands-on leadership role where
you'll shape competency-based learning, support enterprise-wide training initiatives, and embed consistent best-practice learning frameworks across a high-risk, dynamic operational environment.
You'll play a critical role in forming the Solid Waste Services Operational Training Strategy and delivering key components of the national CWY Training Plan, working across sites and shifts to drive real impact on the ground.

About You
You're an experienced training leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced, and safety-critical environments such as logistics, mining, chemical processing, construction, or waste management, with
substantial experience leading competency-based programs, including expertise in dangerous goods (DG) and hazardous substances training.
You will bring
a strategic focus on building capability
within ETS to enable the business to know what a great training system could be and delivering the roadmap to achieve this.

You know how to align teams to deliver practical, blended learning across frontline operations, whether they be in a truck cabin, depot, or high-risk zone. You're confident navigating matrix structures, partnering with a variety of stakeholders, and working with RTOs to ensure quality and compliance.

You bring strong leadership, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a passion for lifting capability at every level. Most importantly, you lead by example, supporting your team, coaching leaders, and embedding a culture of continuous learning wherever you go.
