Role Overview

We are seeking a Graduate Waste Management Professional to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or diploma-holder in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field to begin their career in waste management.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to manage multiple deadlines. They will also be proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced consulting environment.

About the Role
  • Prepare detailed waste management reports to support planning approvals and design processes
  • Develop tailored waste strategies for various developments, including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects
  • Collaborate closely with traffic engineers, urban planners, architects, and developers to ensure seamless integration between access design, waste servicing, and building layouts
  • Stay current with relevant waste legislation, local council requirements, and best practice guidelines
  • Contribute to projects that influence smarter, more sustainable design outcomes in new land use and building developments
  • Promote sustainable waste management solutions in line with best practice and Green Star objectives
Requirements
  • A degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Ideal candidate to have experience or familiarity with planning systems, urban development, or building services design
