About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal Home Care Worker to join our team at Australian Unity Aboriginal Home Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders and community in NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform personal care duties, including showering, feeding, and toileting, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and respect for our clients' autonomy.
  • Provide social support, such as accompanying clients to doctor appointments, shopping, and social outings, to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with domestic tasks, including cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, bed making, and meal preparation, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
Requirements
  • A reliable car and Australian Driver Licence
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19 (2 Doses)
  • 12+ months personal care experience required
  • Cert III in Individual Support (or willingness to obtain through our traineeships program)
