Companion Carer Job Description

At Right at Home, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. We provide high-quality in-home care and support to individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, disabilities, post-operative care needs, and older Australians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a person-centred environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.
  • Assist clients with daily errands, companionship, and support.
  • Provide support with academic, social, or recreational activities.
  • Prepare food if needed.
  • Observe, care, and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Work weekend and overnight shifts as rostered.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates.
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Comprehensive car insurance (desirable).
