Job Title: Senior Women's and Men's Health Physiotherapist

This is a challenging opportunity to join a dynamic team of physiotherapists in a tertiary hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality women's and men's health physiotherapy services to both inpatients and outpatients.



Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Providing physiotherapy services to patients with complex women's and men's health conditions, including antenatal and postnatal care, musculoskeletal conditions related to pregnancy, incontinence, gynaecological conditions, acute postnatal management, and acute post-gynaecological surgery.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to meet the individual needs of patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervising and mentoring new graduate and rotational Level 1/2 Physiotherapists, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and success in their roles.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in advanced clinical practice, staying current with best practices and research in women's and men's health physiotherapy.
  • Contribute to service evaluation and development, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and service delivery.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant clinical experience, including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex physiotherapy caseload.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision and teaching of staff and/or students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the physiotherapy management of women's and men's health conditions.
