The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will provide senior leadership to the nursing team, managing clinical and professional resources, and providing practical support, mentoring, and development of the nursing workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and effective communication with SVCHS staff, Correctional staff, and external health services.
- Adhere to confidentiality and lead quality and service improvement activities.
- Report and escalate issues to the Nurse Unit Manager and SVCHS nursing management team.
- Be aware of and abide by policies and procedures required of Justice Health, SVHM, SVCHS, G4S, and Corrections Victoria.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in general nursing with current APHRA nursing registration.
- Substantial skills, knowledge, and experience in acute, sub-acute, and/or primary health care settings as a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years acute experience.
- Ability to lead others, develop strong working relationships, and act as a role model.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and manage change.
- Commitment to providing high-quality health services using a person-centered approach to care.
