Intensive Care Specialist

The ICU SRMO provides clinical assessments, management advice, care of emergency admissions, and works with inpatients as required and directed by senior ICU colleagues. This role involves performing procedures required for patient care and treatment, arranging investigations, and ensuring ongoing care is provided.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of two years with progress towards career goals in Anaesthetics or Critical Care
- Demonstrated clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills in the clinical setting
The intensive care unit is a 20-bedded intensive care unit providing extensive services to the local community. The senior medical staff are a group of committed educators who provide excellent clinical care while supporting juniors on their intensive care journey.
