The Role

We're seeking an experienced trailer technician to join our Service and Breakdown Team. As a key member of our team, you'll provide high-quality mechanical services on customer trailers with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and improving a safe working environment
  • Providing services that meet agreed quality levels and company values

You'll perform tasks allocated by the workshop controller and service advisors, ensuring all completed tasks are quality checked and associated paperwork is completed. You'll also record all materials used on the task and assist others when requested.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Trailer Mechanic
  • Proven experience as a trailer technician
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of heavy trailer brake and air systems
  • Expertise in best practice maintenance
  • Commitment to quality and timelines

Bonus points if you have experience with suspension, alignment, electrical and light welding/fabricating
