Master Plumber

Ballina Shire Council is a local government authority situated on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, offering a vibrant community and stunning coastal environment.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and capable civil plumber to join our Utilities Construction team.

This position involves operating various plant machinery and performing manual labor to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in construction, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipelines, manholes, storage tanks, valve pits, and small sewer pump stations.

• Demonstrated understanding of and experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience in the operation of relevant plant items, including tipper truck, front-end loader, backhoe, etc., and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices applications, including Microsoft Office and SCADA.
• Proven knowledge and ability to use pipe lasers and dumpy levels.
• Demonstrated experience in and ability to perform a range of physical laboring duties.

• A salary range of $57,500 to $66,000 per annum (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience, and qualifications.
