Job Title: Communications and Engagement Officer

The role of the Communications and Engagement Officer is pivotal in devising and executing engagement and communication strategies to promote the NSW Decarbonisation Hub and its programs.

This encompasses content development, event coordination, social media management, and stakeholder engagement. The position plays a crucial role in fostering relationships with industry, government, and community partners to broaden the Hub's reach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness of the Hub's programs and outcomes.
  • Lead the development of social media content based on research outcomes and industry partnerships.
  • Prepare and distribute external communications content profiling the Hub and its network via regular newsletters.
  • Support the delivery and promotion of events, campaigns, and outreach activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent experience or equivalent competence gained through education, training, and experience.
  • Proven track record in delivering marketing strategies that achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and develop new initiatives with creativity.
  • Extensive knowledge of communication platforms, including traditional, digital, and social channels.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects.
