Job Description

The Project is a prestigious infrastructure development project in Adelaide, South Australia. It involves the construction of a 10.5km motorway, including over 4kms of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction, and complex mechanical and electrical installations.

The project's scope encompasses not only the physical infrastructure but also the social impact on the local community. The Engagement Advisor will play a vital role in ensuring that the project is delivered with minimal disruption to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that all activities are undertaken strategically, minimizing impacts and disruptions.
  • Provide advice and assistance to the construction teams on community and stakeholder activities.
  • Manage responses to all project-related communications matters.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree or certificate in public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, or marketing.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in community engagement, preferably in an advisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing community engagement plans within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
