Technical Lead

This is a remote position with XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd.

As a Technical Lead in Applications, you will be responsible for guiding the design and development of application solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of applications.
  • Define technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
  • Project Management:
  • Collaborate with project managers to scope, estimate, and schedule project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Architecture & Design:
  • Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain application architecture documentation.
  • Code Review & Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and bottlenecks.
  • Mentorship & Training:
  • Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Organize and facilitate technical training sessions and workshops.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product owners, QA teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • [5+] years of experience in software development, with at least [2+] years in a technical lead or similar role.
  • Proficiency in [relevant programming languages and technologies, e.g., Java,.NET, Python, JavaScript, etc.].
  • Experience with [specific frameworks, tools, and methodologies relevant to your projects].
  • Strong understanding of application architecture and design patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Security Clearance: NV2 clearance is required.
