Holistic Cancer Support Nurse Required

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. You will be responsible for promoting and embedding cancer screening resources across community programs, supporting clients and families in navigating cancer services and palliative care pathways, and coordinating planning with hospitals and Aboriginal Medical Services to ensure culturally safe referrals.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote and embed cancer screening resources across community programs.
- Support clients and families in navigating cancer services and palliative care pathways.
- Coordinate planning with hospitals and Aboriginal Medical Services to ensure culturally safe referrals.
- Deliver health promotion activities, yarning circles, and community education.
- Assist in developing quality improvement processes and culturally appropriate learning materials.
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in community health, chronic disease, oncology, or related programs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Cultural awareness working rural and remote and with Aboriginal and Torres Island communities.
