We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Safety Expert to join our team at Grampians Health, a leading healthcare provider in the region. This is a fixed-term part-time position until 30 June 2025.
About the Role- To coordinate the medication safety program across Grampians Health, a large and diverse multi-campus regional health service.
- Develop and implement system-based, consumer-focused medication safety quality improvement strategies to reduce the risk of harm to patients and enhance medication safety.
- Monitor and evaluate medication safety systems through audit and incident report investigation, analysis, and reporting.
- Provide medication safety-related training and education to clinicians and consumers as required.
- CURRENTLY HOLD GENERAL REGISTRATION AS A PHARMACIST WITH THE AUSTRALIAN HEALTH PRACTITIONER REGULATION AGENCY (AHPRA).
- AT LEAST 5 YEARS HOSPITAL PHARMACY EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING BROAD EXPOSURE TO THE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT PATHWAY.
- DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS TO ACHIEVE DESIRED OUTCOMES.
- DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY PLAN, ORGANISE, PRIORITISE AND MANAGE TIME WITH ABILITY TO DELIVER OUTCOMES TO AGREED TIMELINES.
