We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our Clinical Documentation Improvement team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery.

As a Clinical Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies, and educate staff on best practices for clinical documentation and coding.

You will also analyse trends and provide insights to improve documentation processes and outcomes, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.

This is a part-time position on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. If you are a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a passion for healthcare, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications/ Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Current Registration.
  • Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS or CDIP) (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
