Category Development Specialist - Skincare

Overview:

The Category Development Specialist will be integral to enhancing the growth and performance of our skincare division. This role focuses on pricing strategies, expense management, and the establishment of operational protocols to ensure the category thrives through effective performance evaluation and the execution of strategic initiatives while remaining informed about market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Profitability: Collaborate with leadership to analyze reports and metrics aimed at achieving revenue and margin objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct competitor assessments to guide pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Trend Research: Investigate industry trends and recommend enhancements to promotional tactics.
  • Performance Analysis: Lead comprehensive sales evaluations and engage with stakeholders to boost category performance.
  • Growth Identification: Pinpoint opportunities for expansion within clinics and assist in optimizing services.

Training and Development:

  • Establish and uphold standard operating procedures for the category.
  • Assist in curating content for training resources and materials.
  • Ensure training content aligns with category standards and protocols.
  • Support the creation of educational pathways for therapists.

Product Innovation:

  • Gather and assess data to inform decisions regarding new product introductions.

Reporting and Implementation:

  • Generate relevant content for internal communications and newsletters.
  • Manage inquiries and requests related to the category.
  • Coordinate category meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain updated content for the category handbook and clinic standards.
  • Provide marketing support and engage with the category effectively.
  • Monitor team incentives and sales performance metrics.

Client and Clinic Support:

  • Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to the category.
  • Conduct training sessions for clinics on category protocols.
  • Offer assistance to franchisees with commercial inquiries.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure adherence to compliance requirements through documentation and updates to protocols.
  • Support compliance efforts within the clinical department as necessary.

Adverse Event Management:

  • Assist the clinical department with managing adverse events.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in category support within service or retail sectors is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Customer Service: Experience in customer service is a plus.

Core Competencies:

  • High proficiency in computer skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.
  • Proactive and positive attitude with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Customer-oriented and a collaborative team player.
  • Willingness to learn and work independently across various platforms.

Educational Background:

  • A tertiary qualification in business is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the aesthetics category and relevant technologies is advantageous.
