Land Management Officer

The role involves working in a diverse and dynamic environment, undertaking field and office-based work. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the annual works program, coordinating and managing a small team of land managers, and undertaking tasks focused on fire and pest management, plant and infrastructure maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the annual works program in accordance with the business plan
- Manage a small team of land managers to deliver the day-to-day work program
- Undertake tasks focused on fire and pest management, plant and infrastructure maintenance
- Work with traditional owners to manage their spiritual lands
- Manual driver's license
- Ability to regularly travel and camp out in varying climatic conditions
- Supervisory experience
- Administrative skills - compiling reports, maintaining records, and using computer systems
- Experience managing human resources and budget processes
- Highly developed communication skills - responding to customer queries and providing advice
- Opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment

- A formal qualification in a relevant discipline is highly regarded
- Certification to use agricultural chemicals and poisons
