Community Engagement Opportunity in a Remote Aboriginal Setting

We are seeking a skilled Activity and Community Engagement Specialist to join our team in a remote Aboriginal community in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our community members.

About the Role

This fixed-term contract position involves coordinating and delivering engaging activities that promote social connections, cultural exchange, and personal growth among community members. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver culturally sensitive activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND STAFF
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders to identify community needs and develop programs that address them
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on program outcomes and participant feedback
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of community development principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in activity coordination or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
