The NLC is an independent statutory authority established under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act (NT) 1976. Our purpose is to serve our constituents, who are Traditional Owners (TOs) and other Aboriginal people living in their region.

We're seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Coordinator to provide administration support for our Regional, Executive and Full Council meetings in the NLC regions. This role extends to record keeping, logistics and travel support.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Confidently communicating with people across the organisation, Traditional Owners, constituents and members of the public
  • Managing time effectively and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Certificate IV in Business Administration, Event Management or a related field, or equivalent experience working in a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Word and Outlook
  • High-level cross-cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
