Renewable Energy Engineer Position

The University is seeking a skilled professional to join our faculty as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering. As part of our commitment to gender diversity, this position is open only to applicants who are women.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with expertise in renewable energy to contribute to the development and delivery of our engineering programs, including a new Master of Engineering. You will play a key role in shaping sustainable futures by delivering engaging learning experiences, building your research profile, and fostering industry and community connections.

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and contribute to curriculum development, ensuring students achieve strong graduate outcomes.
  • Build your research profile through collaboration, publications, grant contributions, and supervision of honours and research students.
  • Actively participate in School and University activities that strengthen our academic community and student experience.

As a Senior Lecturer (Level C), you will also have the opportunity to lead teaching initiatives, drive impactful research, take on broader leadership roles, and grow and leverage strong industry and community partnerships.

To be successful in this role, you will require a doctoral qualification in electrical and renewable energy engineering or a closely related field, as well as experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas like renewable energy, microgrids, and smart grids.

Additionally, you will need to possess a collegial approach and personal attributes that support a positive and high-achieving academic environment, as well as a willingness to contribute to academic administration and build productive partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, research, and partnerships, with a focus on making a lasting impact and contributing to the growth of our faculty.
