
Budget Analyst

**Job Overview**:
This is a role within the financial management team, focused on providing budget development, analysis and reporting services.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations, annual account working papers and financial reports.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitor budgets, including review and analysis of expenditure within financial parameters.
- Calculate and process budget journals.
- Review and authorise payments to external entities.
- Produce and present monthly reports on financial positions and forecasts.
- Provide financial and budget advice to internal stakeholders.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to finance or business management.
- Experience in public sector finance would be highly regarded.
- CPA or CA or other equivalent accounting qualification and membership will also be highly regarded.
