Casual Disability Support Worker

About the Role

Taking on this role as a Casual Disability Support Worker means being part of a supportive and professional team dedicated to quality care. You will work with NDIS participants in their homes and in the community, helping them achieve their goals and maintain independence.

This position involves supporting individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, cleaning, and budgeting. You'll also promote social participation and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality person-centred support according to participant care plans
  • Assist with daily tasks like personal care, grooming, and household chores
  • Encourage social interaction and community involvement
  • Accurately record shift notes and maintain professional boundaries
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and colleagues

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Driver's Licence + reliable, insured vehicle
  • Strong spoken English communication skills
  • Availability for shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Experience in disability, mental health, or aged care
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support
  • Flexible and proactive approach to changing participant needs
