Job Description

The Department of Justice and Community Safety seeks an experienced lawyer to lead a high-profile team within the government. This team advises on commercial and regulatory legal matters across the justice system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide solutions-based legal advice on issues relevant to the government, ministers and the department.
  • Manage multiple complex and sensitive matters for various clients across the whole of DJCS.
  • Support and work collaboratively with the executive and leadership team.
  • Develop strong relationships with other DJCS groups as well as other departments, agencies, external law firms and stakeholders.
