Job Opportunity: Clinical Specimen Collector

Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Specimen Collector to join our team. As a Clinical Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other clinical specimens from patients, using your knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality patient care.

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to maintain accurate records and meet strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting clinical specimens (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
  • Filling available shifts across a geographical area
  • Maintaining meticulous records for every patient and specimen
  • Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
  • Liaising with various stakeholders, including patients, clinic staff, and courier services
About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is highly organized, with strong time management and attention to detail skills. You must be able to work autonomously and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy or a related healthcare background
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work
