Production Technician Role

The Clayton facility represents a vital hub in the production of our mRNA vaccines, ensuring timely and high-quality supply to meet global health demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mRNA vaccine production equipment in compliance with cGMP and safety standards
  • Practice safe work habits and maintain high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas
  • Execute operational activities per SOPs and approved manufacturing documentation
  • Conduct routine digital troubleshooting of equipment and report issues to leads
  • Maintain training records and ensure documentation is up-to-date
  • Perform basic mechanical maintenance tasks such as lubrication, checks, and filter changes
  • Support closure of QA documentation to enable timely batch disposition
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in investigations of deviations (RCA) and CAPA implementation
  • Identify compliance or safety issues and proactively communicate with supervisors
  • Contribute to multiple projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Engage collaboratively in cross-functional matrixed environment
  • Demonstrate adaptability to work off-hours or overtime when required
  • Apply performance tools and teamwork to meet and exceed operational KPIs
  • Maintain innovation and excellence mindset aligned with corporate goals and commercial demand
Requirements
  • Typically 3-5+ years experience in GMP manufacturing environment
  • College degree with specialization in Pharmaceutical production technology or equivalent
  • Aseptic experience, Visual Inspection and PFS knowledge
  • Experience in audit/inspection preparation, understanding Health authority and regulatory guidelines
  • Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers, leadership, and cross-functional support groups
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail while executing multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated commitment to company values
  • This position is site-based, requiring full-time presence at Moderna's site
