We are seeking a dedicated Trauma Counsellor to join our team of professionals who work towards creating positive change in our community.

The role involves providing a free counselling service for children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma, including sexual assault.

This includes facilitating group work with young people, conducting education seminars, workshops, and offering support to the professional community.

To be successful in this role, you will require relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field, accompanied by relevant work experience, sound knowledge and skills in counselling and conducting therapeutic support groups, as well as expertise in assessing and managing trauma appropriately.

A strong understanding of child protection, effective therapies for supporting victims of sexual assault, and demonstrated experience working as a specialist employee exercising professional judgment are essential.
