Strategic Risk Governance Executive

The newly created General Manager, Risk Governance and Assurance role forms part of the Senior Leadership Team.
As a key member of the team, you will lead culture and strategy for risk governance and assurance initiatives.
This position is based in Newcastle with a hybrid working model offering flexibility and wellbeing benefits including flexible working arrangements study assistance programs additional leave entitlements and various workspace options.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing systems that inform organisational performance and decision making
- Ensuring the risk framework meets high quality standards aligned to business needs and maturity
- Monitoring and reviewing adopted business frameworks and practices for compliance and maintenance of applicable standards for good governance
- Responsible for statutory deliverables as defined by relevant legislation
Qualified candidates will have extensive experience translating requirements into business practices and processes highly developed analytical conceptual and problem-solving skills excellent communication skills superior conflict resolution skills and a tertiary qualification in Business Commerce Corporate Governance or similar.
A strong background in corporate services and/or public sector environment is desirable.
