Job Title: Spiritual Wellbeing Mission Manager

 

Job Description:

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a seasoned educator with a holistic view of Spiritual Wellbeing to join our Mission Team. As a Spiritual Wellbeing Mission Manager, you will be responsible for integrating and supporting Mission programs and services across the organisation to facilitate the positive spiritual wellbeing of all residents and clients aligned with our Mission and Values.

You will lead the Pastoral Care/Spiritual Wellbeing team members across all service streams to facilitate holistic spiritual wellbeing in line with the Mission Integration Strategic Plan. This involves promoting and supporting wellbeing programs, guiding, and supporting team members to ensure effective implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Catholic tradition, sacraments, and liturgical life of the Catholic Church. You will also have the ability to appreciate differing value systems, beliefs, and practices, and demonstrate spiritual maturity. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, together with your natural partnering ability, will aid your success in this integral position.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Promote and support wellbeing programs to facilitate holistic spiritual wellbeing in line with the Mission Integration Strategic Plan
  2. Guide and support the Pastoral Care/Spiritual Wellbeing team members across all service streams
  3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Catholic Community to facilitate our new strategy initiative - catholic Connected Communities
  4. Contribute to the development and delivery of Spiritual Wellbeing programs and services

 

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in religious education, pastoral care, theology, pastoral counseling, psychology, chaplaincy, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and manage people, build relationships, and problem-solve
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in the provision of spiritual /pastoral care services
  • Spiritual maturity and ability to appreciate differing value systems, beliefs, and practices
  • Ability to lead and adapt in response to change
  • Ability to engage and participate in complex discussions and decision-making
  • Understanding of the Catholic tradition, sacraments, and liturgical life of the Catholic Church
  • Understanding the spiritual journey within the ageing process providing for the inclusion and valuing of all people
  • Ability to provide evidence of Covid 19 Immunisations
  • Drivers Licence - some travel across NSW required with this position
