Job Title:

Gardening Maintenance Supervisor

About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gardening and Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team of employees. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in instructing, training in a supervisory context, and an understanding of supporting people living with disabilities.

This role involves dual responsibilities: attending to open gardening jobs and council activities such as bin cleaning, litter control, and playground weeding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet daily gardening and maintenance targets and goals.
  • Ensure daily documentation is accurately reported.
  • Use initiative and ingenuity to improve productivity and apply best practices to maintain high quality standards.
  • Ensure the team adheres to all OH&S legislation.
  • Promote a person-centered approach towards the training and development of employees.
  • Maintain proper care, preventative maintenance, and use of equipment at all times. Report any defective work or equipment to the manager.
Requirements:
  • Supervisory experience within a gardening and maintenance environment is preferred.
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service Skills.
  • Sympathetic and sensitive to the requirements of our employees.
  • Effective Prioritisation and Organisation Skills.
