About the Role

Eden Ritchie Recruitment is seeking an experienced and skilled Finance Officer to join a significant rail project within a large and dynamic Queensland Government department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations Support: Provide a wide range of project financial activities and support to the project team within the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office, ensuring compliance with departmental financial policies and procedures.
  • Invoice Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, including updating of purchase requisitions following procurement activities for goods and services procured.
  • Financial Registers Maintenance: Maintain Invoice and finance registers using Microsoft Office suite and other systems.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Demonstrate strong time management and organisation skills, managing changing priorities through persistence while maintaining sound governance.
  • Month End Tasks: Assist with month end tasks, including collating and preparation of accruals, general journals and other financial responsibilities as directed.
  • Financial Advice and Information: Act as a key project contact, providing accurate financial advice and information on the status of procurement and financial activities in alignment with government frameworks and project activities to key stakeholders.
About You

To thrive in this role, it is desirable that you demonstrate:

  • A knowledge and experience across a variety of software packages to support program and project financial and delivery performance, including 3pcm and SAP.
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced project environment.
Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
