Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team at our Watershed residential alcohol and drug treatment centre.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others. As a Casual Support Worker, you will provide support and supervision to clients undertaking the six-week treatment program.

You will be working in a unique facility that provides a homely and welcoming environment for our clients.

Your role will involve working a variety of shifts, including day, afternoon, evening and weekend work as well as 'sleepover' shifts overnight.

You will be responsible for assisting clients with medications, supporting Treatment Facilitators running psychoeducational groups, and providing general help and support to clients throughout the day.

This role has a big impact, and you will witness the hard work our clients put in to change their lives for the better.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completed tertiary qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drugs or related discipline
  • Residential experience, not necessarily specific to AOD
  • Ability to work to a structure, but have the capacity to be flexible and navigate the unexpected
  • Passion for helping people, and genuine desire to support individuals in making a positive difference to their lives
  • Reliability, resilience, persistence, and non-judgmental attitude
