Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Designer/Drafter to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and attention to detail, with experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import & manipulate survey data.
  • Produce detailed civil drawings/models including site layouts, earthworks, stormwater, below ground piping and road designs.
  • Export bulk earthwork and material quantities.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers to deliver plans for construction.
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models.
  • Establishing & maintaining design templates and drawing standards.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in relevant CAD software, Autodesk Civil 3D (Civil role) & Autodesk Plant 3D (Mechanical role), a strong understanding of Autocad is essential for both roles.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design.
  • Understanding of risk management and the ability to identify project and design-related risks.
  • Commitment to working safely and within the company's HSEQ systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for engaging with a broad range of audiences.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
