Regulatory Compliance Leadership Role

Our organisation is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Risk and Compliance team in a high-profile Regulatory Breach Reporting position. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in compliance and regulatory affairs, with the ability to navigate complex legislative requirements and provide expert advice to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-performing team of compliance professionals, providing guidance and mentorship on regulatory matters and incident management.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure organisational compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of compliance incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future breaches.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on compliance matters, leveraging deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry codes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deliver effective training programs on compliance best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of leadership in a similar role, with expertise in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks, including superannuation, investments, administration, advice, and insurance broking.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, fostering a culture of transparency and open communication.
