In the role of a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will be responsible for collecting blood and coordinating specimen samples from patients, utilizing your empathy and dedication to provide exceptional customer service and quality healthcare.
Reporting to the Collection Lead and collaborating with a dedicated team, you will significantly contribute to enhancing the health of Australians.
This position offers part-time opportunities across various regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collecting samples (both blood and non-blood) with precision and care Maintaining accurate records for each patient and sample Ensuring timely delivery of documentation Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and analysis Communicating effectively with customers, clinic personnel, and couriersAbout Healius

Availability to cover shifts at various Collection Centers and Hospital Environments. Experience in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection is advantageous. Relevant skills acquired in other healthcare roles are highly desirable. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a strong sense of empathy. Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a collection center or hospital environment. Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple locations. Willingness to obtain a Working with Children's Check. Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid work visa.Additional Requirements:
Evidence of vaccination against preventable diseases, such as Hepatitis B, is required. Other vaccinations may be necessary based on location or setting.-
