In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood and coordinating specimen samples from patients, utilizing your compassion and dedication to provide exceptional customer service and quality healthcare.

Reporting to the Collection Lead and collaborating with a dedicated team, you will significantly contribute to enhancing the health of Australians.

These are part-time positions available across various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting samples (both blood and non-blood) with precision and care
  • Maintaining accurate records for each patient and sample
  • Ensuring timely delivery of documentation
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transportation and analysis
  • Communicating effectively with customers, clinic personnel, and couriers

About You

  • Availability to cover shifts at various Collection Centers and Hospital Environments for scheduled and unscheduled absences.
  • Experience in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection is advantageous.
  • Transferable skills from other healthcare roles are highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a strong sense of empathy.
  • Organized, with strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, sometimes in a collection center or hospital environment.
  • Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid work visa.

Requirements

  • Evidence of vaccination against preventable diseases such as Hepatitis B is required.
  • Additional vaccinations may be necessary based on location or setting.
