This role involves a mix of fieldwork and office tasks supporting clients across various sectors including mining, transportation, pipeline, energy, and community. Fieldwork encompasses site investigations, construction monitoring, and data interpretation, whereas office work includes reporting, engineering analysis, and design contributions.
Main responsibilities include:
- Geotechnical investigation, assessment, and design at mine sites
- Engineering geology and water resource assessments for multiple projects
- Surface and groundwater assessments for environmental baseline studies
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recent degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Science
- Relevant work experience of up to 5 years
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software is beneficial
Candidates are required to hold a valid driver's license and undergo a Traffic History Report and Driver Assessment. The position also involves travel to remote areas, which may necessitate vaccinations such as yellow fever and COVID-19.
