About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an Apprentice Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, servicing, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair components of cooling and refrigeration systems, including compressors, motors, condensers, and evaporators.
  • Assess and replace copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil, and chilled water.
  • Conduct operational tests on refrigeration systems, checking mechanisms and making adjustments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on various installations.
  • Evaluate and comply with local and national regulations.
  • Carry out fault-finding.

Requirements:

  • Able to work with hand and power tools.
  • Enjoy and have an aptitude for technical work.
  • Able to work patiently, systematically, and thoroughly.
  • Normal colour vision.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
