Job Opportunity:
A senior role in SAP HANA database administration is available.
The successful candidate will have expertise in managing and driving critical topics related to incident management, problem management, high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and restore from a database perspective.
The key responsibilities include:
- Managing and driving critical topics related to incident management, problem management, high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and restore from a database point of view.
- Expertise in SAP HANA database administration is required.
- ASE/DB2 additional experience is welcome.
- Installation, upgrades, performance tuning, security management, and high availability strategy implementation are involved.
- Experience in working independently in large-scale production environments is essential.
- Willingness to work in shifts/on-call model as per business need.
- Contributing to automation, scripting, and documentation of day-to-day operations is expected.
- Proven track record of operational experience and on-call experience.
- Backup & Recovery, HA/DR Strategy, Scripting & automation exposure.
- DB installations and upgrade, planning, setup, and implementation.
- Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems. Performance Optimization.
- DB concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability, and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication is must.
- Organize / Structure day 2 day documentation.
Cloud knowledge (e.g., experience of working in public cloud domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP) is desirable but not essential. Professional certification of database platforms with exposure to project management tasks including PMP and ITIL certification is preferred.
